Aimee Morgana is an artist and scientific researcher best known for her work on communication with animals, which she describes as exploring the “inner terrain of the animal mind.” 

In 2002, she led the N’kisi Project, an experiment that involved the study of communication and telepathy between species. N’kisi, the parrot that participated in the project, has received years of language teaching, in which Aimee taught the African Grey English words so that he could use them to communicate. 

Born in 1958 in New York City, Aimee holds a Master’s in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work has appeared in the Museum of Modern Art/PS1 and the American Museum of Natural History, among others.
