Adjany Costa

HON. ADJANY COSTA, currently the Advisor for Environmental Affairs to the President of the Republic of Angola, helped establish the first Marine Protected Area in the Southernmost Coastline of Angola while driving the dialogue on climate action, promoting the creation of the country’s first climate observatory. A marine biologist and ethno-conservationist, she couples science and traditional knowledge to develop effective policies that maximize the protection of wildlife while improving the well-being of impoverished and rural communities.
