June 24th, 2014 – This October, Wings Fellow and Board member Ann Bancroft, joined by a team of seven women explorers from each continent carrying the WINGS Flag, will begin a journey around the world centered around key global water challenges. Starting at the Ganges River in India, these incredible women explorers will continue on to six more trips to every continent over the course of the next 12 years. Each trip will focus on that continent’s unique issues with water, encouraging a global discussion to come up with solutions to our global water crisis. With the support of worldwide media coverage this expedition will create greater awareness of the global water crisis while also engaging with youth through technology and educational curriculum materials.
